Here's Why Web Design Is Important in Web Development

Derek Stevenson • September 29, 2020

More companies now realize the importance of building a website to boost their business in this digital age. They recognize the need to build a solid online presence to take their brand to the next level and turbocharge their sales.

However, what most business owners fail to realize is that having a website is not enough. One must also work on the site’s web design to make it look aesthetically pleasing and attractive to visitors. Having a website—but a poorly designed one—may only drive prospects away instead of drawing them in.

If you have also been neglecting the visual aspects of your website, hopefully, this blog will inspire you to take action promptly. In the sections below, you will learn some of the many reasons why web design is important in your web development project.

1. It Adds Visual Appeal to Your Website

As mentioned above, web design mainly makes your website more attractive to its visitors. Some of the virtual assets it provides to your site are your brand’s logo, user interface, images, typography, and other elements.

If you will take a closer look at it, these are the same elements used in your marketing campaigns. Considering this, working on your web design can make not only your site but also your brand as a whole visually attractive. With the right strategy, this also allows you to communicate your brand in a way that leaves an impact with your target market.

2. It Provides a Pleasant Experience for Your Visitors

Great website design not only makes the elements in your site look attractive. It also makes essential information easy for users to find.

This is because experienced designers also consider how visitors will use your site as they design it and prioritize their convenience. Considering this, you must invest in web design services to improve your website and the experience that it provides to your prospects and customers.

3. It Can Help Position You As An Industry Leader

Whether you like it or not, prospects judge a business by its appearance. This includes how companies present themselves on websites and other online platforms.

Having a professionally designed website makes your brand look professional and trustworthy. With this, you can boost your brand’s credibility and further position yourself as an industry leader.

4. It Helps You Achieve Better Ranking

Imagine this: as you climb up the rankings due to paid ads and other efforts, more people will get to see your website in SERPs (Search Engine Results Pages). When more people see your website, they’re more likely to click your link and visit your page.

When they visit your page and arrive at a satisfying and visually pleasing landing page, they’re more likely to look around. This means a reduced bounce rate for you and a longer time-on-page. Both of which can boost your SEO performance.

5. It Helps Compel Visitors to Take the Next Step in Your Sales Process

A significant aspect of great web design is a clear and well-designed call-to-action. Skilled web designers in Houston, TX will be able to create for you well thought out CTAs. These can effectively guide visitors and prospects to your primary offer and compel them to take action.

Conclusion

Web development is essential to your business’ success, but it’s not everything that there is to it. You must also work on your site’s design and make sure that it looks professional and polished to make a good impression, improve your rankings, and generate more leads and sales. Investing in your website’s design and working with agencies may just be what you need to boost your business and drive revenue growth.

As a Black digital marketing agency owner, I am excited to wish everyone a Happy Juneteenth! Today is a time for us to celebrate the end of slavery and to honor the resilience and strength of the Black community. It is also an opportunity for us to reflect on the work that still needs to be done to achieve true equality and justice for Black people. One way we can make a difference is by supporting Black-owned businesses. The importance of this cannot be overstated. Black entrepreneurs face unique challenges when starting and growing their businesses, and the impact of COVID-19 has made things even more difficult. By intentionally seeking out and purchasing from Black-owned businesses, we can help address the wealth gap and promote economic empowerment within the Black community. It's important to note that supporting Black-owned businesses is not just a one-time act of solidarity. It is a commitment to building a more equitable and just society that extends beyond Juneteenth. One way to make this commitment is to actively seek out and patronize Black-owned businesses in our communities. This could be as simple as buying your coffee from a Black-owned café, ordering takeout from a Black-owned restaurant, or purchasing products from a Black-owned retailer. Another way to support Black-owned businesses is by using social media to amplify their voices and promote their products and services. By sharing posts, leaving reviews, and tagging Black-owned businesses in our content, we can help increase their visibility and attract more customers. It's important to remember that our support has a real impact on these businesses and can make all the difference in their success. Beyond supporting Black-owned businesses, we must also continue to learn and educate ourselves about the experiences and contributions of Black people throughout history. This includes engaging with literature, art, and scholarship by Black authors, artists, and academics. It also means actively seeking out diverse perspectives and being willing to have difficult conversations about race and racism. At my digital marketing agency, we are committed to promoting the voices and experiences of Black people. We recognize that the marketing industry has a long history of perpetuating harmful stereotypes and exclusionary practices. That's why we work to ensure that our campaigns are inclusive, representative, and reflective of the diversity of our society. We also strive to create opportunities for Black entrepreneurs and businesses to succeed. Whether it's through social media campaigns , website design and development, or search engine optimization , we believe that our work can help make a real difference in the success of Black-owned businesses. In conclusion, Juneteenth is a time for us to celebrate the end of slavery and the strength of the Black community. It is also an opportunity for us to reflect on the work that still needs to be done to achieve true equality and justice for Black people. By supporting Black-owned businesses, educating ourselves, and promoting diversity and inclusion in our marketing practices, we can help create a more just and equitable future for all.
